Best Bets for Tuesday’s NBA Slate

Memphis Grizzlies at New Orleans Pelicans

This game is going to be a track meet between two young teams that are absolutely explosive. The Pelicans haven’t played a game since Saturday and the Grizzlies since Sunday so both of these teams should be fully rested and ready to score. These teams also rank in the top half of the league in offensive rating, expect a lot of points to be scored in this matchup.

Pick: Mavericks Moneyline -164

Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks have been the best first half team in the league this year with a +11.4 net rating in the in the first half of games. My theory for why this is is because Luka wears wears down by the end of games since his usage rate is 39.14% the highest in the NBA and would be the 3rd highest in NBA history. The Mavericks should be able to get whatever they want to start the game but maybe wear down in the 2nd half so we’ll take the full game spread out of play. Not an official play but if the Clippers go down big early it’s probably worth a shot to live bet them on the point spread.

Pick: Mavericks -3.5 first half spread (-120)

Brooklyn Nets at Sacramento Kings

The Nets seem to have found a new groove since Kyrie got suspended and Steve Nash got replaced with Jack Vaughn. The Kings have looked really good recently and I think they’ll make the play in game this year, but I just think the Nets are a better team right now. Brooklyn is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 road games while the Kings are 2-2 as favorites. Ben Simmons and Seth Curry are likely to return for the Nets as well. The under is also worth considering here as it has cashed in 71% of Nets road games this season, 227 points Is a few too many for a game I could see struggling to get to 220.

Pick: Nets +2 (-110) and Under 227 (-110)
