Best NBA Bets for Thursday 12/13
The NBA is in full swing, and it continues tonight with five evening games featuring the Kings and 76ers, Suns and Rockets, Pelicans and Jazz, as well as two marquee matchups between the Warriors and Bucks and the Celtics and Lakers. The season is shaping up to be a great one as there doesn’t seem to be any overwhelming title favorites right now except for the Celtics, but even though they have their issues right now. I think the most exciting part of the season so far has been how much young talent is spread out across the league. Let’s get into tonight’s action
Kings at 76ers
Best Bet: Kings +5 (-110)
The Kings are legitimately a good team right now and while I don’t think they’ll win this game this line is a little too high for me to not take it. The 76ers are good but still figuring things out on offense and are still missing Tyrese Maxey. The Kings have a good offense and are firing on all cylinders right now, I expect this to be a wire to wire game with a chance for the Kings to win late.
Warriors at Bucks
Best Bet: Bucks moneyline -175
I just don’t see the Bucks losing this game against the Warriors as presently constituted. The Warriors are kind of mediocre right now and while the Bucks are still working on incorporating Khris Middleton back into the lineup I don’t think they lose this game. This is a bad matchup for the Warriors, they don’t have anyone that can even slow down Giannis and I expect him to feast tonight and deliver a home win for the Bucks.
Pelicans at Jazz
Best Bet: Pelicans moneyline -130
The Pelicans are on fire right now having won 7 straight games and have claimed the number one seed in the west and frankly I don’t think that stops tonight. After a blazing hot start the Jazz have cooled off and are one a 2 game losing streak and are 3-7 in their last 10 games. The Pelicans meanwhile are 9-1 in their last 10 with quality wins against the Suns, Nuggets and Raptors. Pelicans win and extend the streak to 8 games in a row.
Celtics at Lakers
Best Bet: Lakers +4 (-110)
The Celtics are in the middle of a west coast road trip that hasn’t gone as well as they’ve hoped having lost 2 straight to the Warriors and Clippers. This is also the 2 nd half of a back-to-back so they could have some guys sit tonight too. The Celtics offense has been terrible the last couple of games too and without Jayson Tatum playing at an MVP level I don’t see that changing for tonight. The Lakers are fully rested, are expected to play everyone important and sneakily getting things together and improving game by game. Lakers are live to win this game at home, but we’ll take the 4 points just in case.
