How to Bet the College Bowl Season!

Memphis Tigers vs Utah State Aggies

Game Preview:

This line has come down from 10.5, but we’re still getting it at a key number here. I’m confident that the Tigers win this game, and sprinkled Memphis moneyline into a couple of parlays, but it’s hard to pass on Utah State with the points here. The Aggies have won 5 of their past 7 games dating back to early October, while Memphis has lost 5 of 7 games during that same timeframe. The Aggies defense ranked 26th against the pass this season, allowing just under 200 passing yards per game, and could make life difficult for Tigers quarterback Seth Henigan. Utah State senior running back Calvin Tyler Jr., the heart of the Aggiest offense, is expected to suit up for his final collegiate game in his home state after some initial concern that he might opt out to focus on the NFL draft, so you know the motivation will be there.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers vs East Carolina Pirates

Game Preview:

Game Preview:

The Battle of the Carolinas is my favorite game of today’s slate. All signs point to a Pirates victory, with the Chanticleers former head coach, Jamey Chadwell, jumping ship for Liberty, and quarterback Grayson McCall hitting the transfer portal. When you think of Coastal Carolina, you think of Grayson McCall, who has more than done his part to put their program on the map, but Chanticleer fans will get one final lasting memory (hopefully a good one) as McCall will still suit up against the Pirates. The three time Player of the Year for the Sun Belt conference has stated that he wants to finish what he started, and that’s all I needed to hear, despite concerns of how motivated Coastal Carolina will be for this one.

Coastal Carolina +7 (-105) 1 unit

Wisconsin Badgers vs Oklahoma State Cowboys

Game Preview:

Both of these teams will be without their starting quarterbacks, as Spencer Sanders and Graham Mertz have hit the transfer portal. On the surface that’s a much bigger blow to the Cowboys, but the silver lining is that backup quarterback Garret Rangel made two starts this season. If Rangel can protect the football and limit turnovers, I like Oklahoma State’s chance to win this game outright, as Wisconsin is in the midst of a coaching transition, with former defensive coordinator Jim Leonard serving as the interim head coach in what will be his final game with the Badgers. While Wisconsin finished the season on a high note, winning 3 of its final 5 games following the firing of Paul Chryst, they have been hit harder by opt-outs, and now that this line has moved two points from 2.5 I can’t pass on grabbing the Cowboys here, especially if they can bottle up the Badgers rushing attack and force whoever ends up starting at quarterback to throw.
