Best NBA Bets for Tuesday January 17th

The NBA tips off at 7:30 tonight with 4 very good solid games, let’s get into tonights matchups and I’ll give my best bets for tonights slate of games.

Raptors at Bucks

Pick: Bucks -8 (-110)

Both teams on the 2nd game of a back to back makes this line more reasonable, but I think Milwaukee is just better than the Raptors and I think they blow the doors off them tonight. The Bucks rested a lot of their “injured” players yesterday and the Raptors were in a dog fight with the Knicks that went into overtime. Don’t be shocked to see some key players for the Raptors sit. The travel element is also a factor as the Bucks were at home and the Raptors were at MSG yesterday afternoon. The Bucks are 15-7 ATS at home this season which is the second best in the NBA meanwhile the Raptors are 9-10 ATS on the road. Project 6’7 (the Raptors) have been very mediocre this year and they don’t have anyone who can challenge Giannis or the Bucks size at the rim. This is a bit of a mismatch and the Bucks will exploit it and cruise to an easy home win.

76ers at Clippers

Pick: Clippers moneyline -120

The Clippers have been kind of mediocre this season as a team but they’ve done well defending the interior. They posted a 61.8 defensive FG percentage inside of 10 feet this season, the 76ers strength is on the inside with Joel Embiid. The Clippers biggest offensive strength (shooting 3’s) has been a struggle for the 76ers to defend all year. Paul George is supposed to play this game and while I don’t know how much he’s going to play, having him on the court is going to be a big boost. The Sixers are 8-11 ATS on the road and have had near upsets recently. The Clippers need to start gaining ground in the west with only 2 games separating the 6th seed (which the Clippers are) and the 12 seed (currently the Suns). I think the paperclips get a big win at home and possible save their season from going awry again.

Nets at Spurs

Pick: Nets Moneyline -215

It’s expensive but I don’t see the Nets losing in this spot. This is a pretty soft part of their schedule and they need to keep themselves above water while KD recovers from his injury. The Nets are coming off a home loss to OKC but they have been very frisky this year and could be a playoff team if things fall right for them. The Nets are simply better than the Spurs who are on a five game losing streak right now. I don’t like the spread at 5.5 so I’ll play it safe with the moneyline as I just don’t see the Nets losing to this Spurs team that isn’t good and wants to tank for Viktor. Nets to win and keep themselves afloat.
