How to Bet Game 1 of the NBA Finals

Latest News

I’ve convinced myself that if not for Miami, the Knicks would have beaten the Celtics to reach their first NBA Finals in over two decades, so just when I thought I couldn’t hate the Heat anymore than I already do, I continue to surprise myself. Hopefully this is about as competitive of a series as it was when the Knicks became the first 8th seed to reach the Finals, before being quickly dismantled by the Spurs… I have Denver +450 to win the championship, and Jokic +500 to win Finals MVP, so hopefully the Heat don’t give me any further reasons to want to set their house on fire.

Miami Heat @ Denver Nuggets

Game Preview & Pick:

I’m pretty confident that Denver wins this game tonight, but I’m not paying the juice for the moneyline, and I’ve learned my lesson about betting against the Heat in game 1’s on the road. The Nuggets are definitely well rested, but will that play to their disadvantage? I know I’m always a little sluggish my first day back on the job after an extended layoff. Denver has covered their last 6 games against Miami, winning all of them, but this is the NBA Finals we’re talking about! I’m personally going to be parlaying Denver ML with the over, which basically puts you at even money, but I’ll probably sprinkle a little something on Miami ATS as well.

Miami +8.5 (-105) 1 unit

Bonus Pick:

Over 219 points (-110) 1 unit

Nikola Jokic to record a triple-double (-110) 1 unit

Michael Porter Jr. over 2.5 three pointers made (-150) 1 unit

Jimmy Butler under 27.5 points (-125) .5 units
